We are super excited to be starting our Kensington Custom Homes blog. We think it’s important to stay actively engaged with the community and along with social media, this is one method.
We thought we’d use this first post to introduce ourselves. We have been in business over 20 years delivering dream custom homes to residents of North Texas.
Award winning builder, Nick Smith grew up in Manchester before moving down to London. Nick first cut his teeth in property development turning around commercial office space in the British capital. Despite the allure of the city he moved out to Surrey hills just outside the urban sprawl and into a 400 year old Tudor house sat on several acres of gardens. This experience has carried over into some of the more traditional homes we have worked on even while venturing into more modern designs. Now settled in Texas, Nick and family are fully part of the Westlake and surrounding community.
While most of our works has been in Southlake, Westlake, Colleyville, and North Richland Hills, our projects have spanned the metroplex. Over the past few decades we’ve built anything from Tuscan Villas, to fairy tale castles and now we are completing more and more “modern” designs.
Our team of interior designers will work with you to elevate your visions and suggest idea but at the end of the day, the only thing that matters to us is that you get exactly what you envisioned.
When it comes to the actual land, we have several approaches. Firstly we have clients who have already purchased some land - occasionally with an existing property on it - and they need to partner with the most capable and detailed local builder…. They find us! More often than not, we are recommended. Or maybe you don’t have a lot, and you’re new to the area, no worries, we can work with you to find the perfect piece of land for you plan.
