- Do you only build in the Southlake/Westlake area?
No. We are willing to build your custom home anywhere in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We have also built in neighboring Trophy Club, Keller, Colleyville, Justin and North Richland Hills. Builder Nick Smith lives in Glenwyck Farms, Westlake and built all but one home on his own street. Living among his customers shows confidence in his work and a willingness to work with you beyond the finished project.
- Are you willing to build smaller homes?
Absolutely! In fact, our Dallas custom home builders have built homes closer to the 2500 square foot mark out in Justin; just west of the Texas Motor speedway and North of Fort Worth. Our market is the custom home market, emphasis on custom. The most important thing is that you get exactly what you want. If that means a smaller home for your retirement or a starter home then so be it. We treat every project with the same fervor.
- How long does it typically take to build a home?
This can vary greatly. As a point of reference, a home of 8000 square feet can take anywhere between one year and 18 months. Obviously, a smaller custom home will take less time and a larger one a longer time.
- What differentiates you from other builders?
We don’t take on masses of projects a year in order to preserve our absolute attention to your custom home projects. You can read the views of our satisfied customers and friends on our testimonials page. Living in and being a part of the Westlake, Southlake and even Dallas communities (among others) gives us a greater understanding of the needs and lifestyles of local residents. We have used the same handpicked subcontractors in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for some time now. We have a relationship with them that fosters trust and understand. Though contracted, you’d think we were all part of the same company. As Southlake custom home builders, our goal is to cater for that same relationship with our clients as that makes the custom home building process even more of a fun and exciting journey.
- Where exactly are you from!?
Nick grew up in Manchester in the North of England. He developed his professional career in London that included property development in the busy city. Nick and his family lived in a four hundred year old Tudor home in the home county of Surrey. In 1996 he moved to Dallas-Fort Worth and subsequently started Kensington Estates Dallas Custom Homes never forgetting the European detail ingrained in his work. His business has become somewhat of a family business. Our clients find comfort in the fact that our family is building for theirs.
